Chalk Springs Fishery is now under new management
A few words from the new owner……
Hi all, my name is Nick Christian and I am delighted to be taking over ownership of Chalk Springs Fishery as of28th August 2019. Ally Riach is remaining the manager – if you’re a regular at Chalk Springs you will probably have met him already.
I’ve been a regular visitor at Chalk Springs for many many years and I remember the place as far back as the cress-bed days. Like everyone else who loves the place, I appreciate the beautiful location, the crystal clear water and the quality of the fish that come out, which is why I am so excited to be taking on the fishery.
As the new owner, I plan to make some changes to the fishery which will benefit all of our anglers. This includes a new office at the entrance, a log burner and drink-making facilities in the lodge to make your winter visits even more comfortable and new and sturdy bridges between lakes, to name just a few.
Many of you will be pleased to know that future fish stocks will also include larger trout of 4-5lb’s upwards, with some fish being in double figures too! Some of you may remember when it was possible to catch double figure fish and it’s our aim to make this type of fishing more achievable at Chalk Springs fishery again. Be sure to check out our Catch Report page for regular updates and our ‘Fish of the Week’ awards.
Our ticket prices will still remain competitive and the new prices will be announced in the Autumn. We believe that the new prices will reflect the quality of the facilities and the fishing available at Chalk Springs, which offers superb value to trout anglers.
I’m really looking forward to meeting you all over the coming months and years and shaping Chalk Springs Trout Fishery into a place even more special than it already is today.
Many thanks, Nick Christian
